Bronze
Visiting Tuscany’s Museo della Città Etrusca e Romana di Cortona, I was conquered by 4th and 3rd century Etruscan and Roman bronze, as well as the abundance of sculpture in Florence. The alchemy of form confirmed an inspiration to have works cast both in bronze and in large scale using alternate materials. Shortly thereafter, employing the lost wax process, the first edition bronze works were cast at the Canadian art foundry Artcast. - TF
